Account & data

Delete your account

This is the official account deletion page for the Aura Focus app (com.arthurwhitlock.aurafocus). It explains how to permanently delete your Aura account and the data linked to it.

Fastest

Option 1 — Delete in the app

If you can still sign in to Aura, this removes your account and cloud data immediately:

  1. Open Aura and go to Settings → Sync.
  2. Scroll to the Danger zone section.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm your Google account when prompted, then confirm deletion.

Your account and all cloud data are deleted right away. You are signed out when it finishes.

No app needed

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can no longer access the app, send a deletion request:

  1. Email codewithillusion@gmail.com from the email address you used to sign in to Aura.
  2. Use the subject line “Delete my Aura account”.

We verify the request against your sign-in email and delete your account and cloud data within 30 days. There is no charge for this.

What gets deleted

  • Your Aura account and its Google sign-in link.
  • Cloud-synced journal entries (stored end-to-end encrypted), tasks, focus history, badges, streaks, and weekly challenge progress.
  • Your synced profile and any photos or voice notes uploaded to cloud storage.
  • Your notification token and presence or device records.

What is kept

  • Data saved only on your device is not removed by account deletion. Uninstall the app, or use the in-app reset, to clear local data. Account deletion is not an app reset.
  • Purchase and subscription records are handled by Google Play and our payments processor (RevenueCat). Manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play. Transaction records may be retained by those services and as required by law.
  • Routine backups and server logs are purged within 30 days.
